What is Lauren’s Wish?

Lauren’s Wish is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization started in West Virginia to help those struggling with substance use disorder to find hope and recover from this disease. Current projects include establishing an Addiction Triage Center (Lauren’s Wish at Hazels House of Hope) as well as plans for a long-term residential addiction treatment program for women (Lauren’s Ladder).

Lauren’s Wish at Hazel’s House of Hope is located in Morgantown where the old Ramada Inn was located. The center’s goal is to provide a safe and healthy space for individuals who are seeking treatment placement. Here, they will be monitored by peer recovery staff and have access to case management and addiction recovery resources. This safe and healthy environment will allow the intervention window to be extended and will save lives.

Funds are also being raised to help start Lauren’s Ladder, a long-term residential, farm based addiction treatment program for women similar to Jacob’s Ladder at Brookeside Farm

Many of us here in WV and across our nation have been touched in some way by this disease – please consider helping. Together we will help heal those suffering from addiction.

Lauren’s Wish at Hazel House is a safe place where individuals who have overdosed, or who suffer from Substance Use Disorder, can safely stay and receive support in a controlled environment while awaiting treatment availability.
